Welcome to Sankei Online English Plus!

My name is Leonora. I have been teaching English (English as a Second Language) to Koreans and Japanese since 2009.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Education major in English at the Ateneo de Davao University here in the Philippines. I am also a Licensed Professional Teacher and I just recently obtained my TESOL/TEFL Certificate at the World TESOL Academy.

As a non-native speaker of the English language, I am well aware of the importance of learning English because it is the only way for me to communicate with my students and with foreigners as it is the universal language. I experienced the relevance of English first-hand when I traveled abroad to Indonesia, Thailand and the United States. It was an amazing feeling being able to talk to different people from different countries. Having said that, English should not be regarded as a stressful subject or language to learn. It should rather be seen as a bridge that connects people all over the world.

In our class, I will make sure that you will learn English but the difference is, you will learn it in an enjoyable way. Don't be shy, never be afraid to express your emotions and let us learn English in a fun and interactive way! I am looking forward to see you in my class! Matane!🍀
