April 8th, 2012.
Dear Neighbor,
I would like to invite you to an organizational meeting for the River Heights Neighborhood Association at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 4th at River Heights Elementary School, 1000 East Fillmore. The purpose of this meeting is to learn more about the structure of neighborhood associations and to consider taking the first steps to establish one for our area.
A neighborhood association is strictly voluntary. It is designed to create a forum for residents to foster a sense of community in the area where they live, to communicate more effectively the needs of our neighborhood to city officials, and to encourage residents to work together to keep our neighborhood an attractive and safe place to live.
The River Heights Neighborhood Association would include everyone who lives within the area bounded on the south by Hamilton, on the west by State Street, the north by Clairemont, and the east by Rudolph. Any resident or property owner will be eligible to participate and have a voice in addressing issues that directly affect them.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me at the e-mail below.
Thank you for your time, and I hope to see you at the meeting.
