People love scary stories and scary movies. Every country has stories of ghosts, spirits or demons. We say that some old houses or castles are haunted by the ghosts of dead people. Some people say that they can speak to ghosts or communicate with the spirits of the dead. Some people charge a lot of money to speak to your dead grandfather or your aunt Jane. Speaking to spirits is big business.

Recently, ghost hunting shows have become very popular on TV. A presenter will go to a haunted house with a television crew and a paranormal investigator. They often bring someone who claims to speak to ghosts. They always investigate at night. These shows are very dramatic and exciting. The investigators scream and run and try to capture a ghost on film, but we never get a clear picture.

People have been investigating ghosts for many years and trying to speak to dead people. How can we know if ghosts are real or if people can really speak to spirits? Maybe it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not. We all love a good horror story.
