Mary
Hey, Yuta. How was the new restaurant last night?
Yuta
It was a bit embarrassing.
Mary
Why? What happened?
Yuta
When we went to the restaurant, they said that they had no reservation for us.
Mary
Really? That’s too bad.
Yuta
So they made us wait for 40 minutes to prepare a table.
Mary
It wasn’t your day. But you should have confirmed the reservation.
Yuta
Yeah, I should have done that.
メアリー：
やあ、ユウタ、新しくオープンしたレストランでの昨夜の食事はどうだったの？

ユウタ：
ちょっとバツが悪かったよ。

メアリー：
なんで？何かあったの？

ユウタ：
僕たちがレストランに行った時、(予約してあったはずなのに)予約されていないって言われたんだよ。

メアリー：
本当？それはひどいわね。

ユウタ：
そうなんだ、それでテーブルを用意するのに４０分も待たされたんだよ。

メアリー：
ついてなかったのね。でもあなたも予約を確認するべきだったわね。

ユウタ：
そうだね。そうするべきだったよ。

Activity 1: Change the verbs into the correct form then make sentences using “should have” or “shouldn’t have”.

Activity 2: Tell your tutor about things you should or shouldn’t have done recently.
