Great! I like it very much. It’s a lot quieter than the previous place and also closer to the office.
Lily
That’s good! How about the neighbors? Have you met anyone yet?
Mizuki
Oh, I just met one guy this morning. Yeah, his friendliness surprised me a lot.
Lily
What do you mean?
Mizuki
Well, when I told him I was new around here he asked me if I needed any help.
Lily
Wow! That’s very kind of him!

美月：

Activity 1: What are the noun forms for the following adjectives?
練習1： 次の形容詞の名詞形は何ですか。

Activity 2: Tell your tutor about people around you. Use the adjectives shown above if possible.
練習2： 自分の周りにいる人たちについて先生に話してみましょう。使えるようなら上にある形容詞を活用してみましょう。

HINTS
Adding –ness at the end of an adjective makes its noun.
e.g.
happy + ness = happiness
lazy+ ness = laziness
Also changing “t” at the end of an adjective into “-ce” also makes its noun form.
e.g.
different ⇒ difference
relevant ⇒ relevance
