Well, you don't have to buy a ticket before riding. You just need to pay the fare when you get off.
Ken
Thank you. And do you know how much the fare is?
Man
It's three dollars. I'll tell you when we get to Central Station.
Ken

ケン：すみません、このバスはセントラル駅に行きますか？

男性：はい。

ケン：どこでバスのチケットを買えばいいですか？

男性：ええと、乗る前にチケットを買う必要はなくて、君は降りるときに運賃を払うだけでいいんだよ。
