クリス：あの知らせをもう聞いた？ジローが先週マネージャーに昇進したんだって。

マキ：全然驚かないわ。だって彼は優秀で仕事熱心だもの。

クリス：確かにその通りだね。何より彼は責任感のある人だからね。

yesterday, last (last week / month / year), ago 等の語句は過去を表す言葉なので現在完了形と共に使いません。
