Alice
Hey, both Japan and England made it to the final 16 in the World Cup!
Mika
Yes! Japan is going to face Spain next. Spain is the favorite to win the World Cup. I hope they will win the game.
Alice
It’ll be rather difficult for Japan to beat Spain, but Japan has won most of their games so far. I’m sure they’ll come through.
Mika
I hope Japan and England will play against each other in the final.
Alice
I hope so, too.
アリス：ねえ、日本もイングランドもW杯ベスト16に進んだわね！

ミカ：ええ！日本は次に優勝候補のスペインと当たるのよ。次の試合に勝ってくれたらいいなあ。

アリス：スペインを破るのは日本にとってはかなり難しいだろうけれど、でも日本はここまでほとんどの試合を勝ってきたんだもん。きっと何とかやってくれるわ。

ミカ：決勝で日本とイングランドが戦えるといいわね。

アリス：私もそう望んでいるわ。
