Ben
Excuse me, do you have an ATM in this hotel?
Clerk
We’re sorry but we don’t, sir.
Ben
So, is there a bank around here?
Clerk
Yes, sir. There is a bank just past the intersection. They have some ATMs.
Ben
Could you tell me what time the bank opens?
Clerk
The teller window opens at 9, but the ATM corner is open 24 hours.
ベン ：すみません、このホテルにATMはありますか？

従業員：申し訳ありませんが、ございません。

ベン：ではこの辺りに銀行はありますか。

従業員：ええ、ございます。交差点の少し先に銀行があります。そこにATMがございます。

ベン：銀行は何時に開くか教えていただけますか。

従業員：窓口は９時に開きますが、ATMコーナーは２４時間開いています。

Activity : Direct questions are sometimes considered impolite. Indirect questions are much more polite. Make some polite indirect questions using the phrases below:
練習： 直接的なフレーズは場合によっては失礼とみなされる場合があり、間接疑問文だとより礼儀正しい表現になります。下記のフレーズを、礼儀正しい間接疑問文にしましょう。

Example: Clear the table.
→ Would you mind clearing the table please?
→ Could you clear the table please?
