Takao
I’m not sure if I want to stay at the company.
Meg
Why not? Jobs are so hard to find these days. You were so happy to be hired after being unemployed for such a long time.
Takao
Well, I’ve realized that there really isn’t room for career advancement in the company. I am thinking about incentives, you know, promotions, benefits, and pay raises.
Meg
What if you quit your job? What are you going to do?
Takao
Well...I actually don’t know what kind of job is suitable for me.
タカオ：今の会社でやっていきたいのかどうかわからないよ。
メグ：どうして？最近はなかなか仕事は見つからないわよ。あんなに長い間仕事がなくて今の会社に決まってすごくうれしそうだったじゃない？
タカオ：うん。だけど今の会社に出世の道がないことがわかったんだ。インセンティブや昇進、手当、昇給とかのことを考えてさ。
メグ：もし今の仕事をやめたらどうするの？何をするつもりなの？
タカオ：そうだな…実際どんな仕事が自分に合っているかわからないんだ。
