John
What do you think about this proposal?
Lisa
Well, I don’t know. It isn’t exactly what we wanted. We hoped that they would give us the materials at cost.
John
True. But it is still cheaper than what the other company offered.
Lisa
Yeah, but this contract will lock us in two years. What if we decide next year to change the product? Then we will be stuck with materials we can’t use.
John
Come on Lisa. You could always make that your next project. I know how much you love to use your artistic license.
ジョン：この提案どう思う？
リサ：そうね。よくわからないわ。私達がちょうどほしかったものではないわよね。材料を実費で提供してほしかったわ。
ジョン：そうだよね。でも、それでも他社の提案よりはまだ安いよ。
リサ：ええ。でも、契約には２年の縛りがあるわ。もし来年製品を変更することになったらどうするの？そうなったら、使えない材料がたまってしまうわ。
ジョン：またそんなこと言って。いつだって次の新製品を作ることはできるじゃないか。君が美的センスをどんなに使いたがっているか、知っているよ。
